La Tapy's Means
The staff

The Domaine Expérimental La Tapy is run by an administrative council composed of members of the agricultural structures that own parts of the centre. The council appoints a board, the technical commission managers, and the centre's director.

The staff is composed of 10 full-time employees, 5 are project leaders, as well as trainees and seasonal workers.

Technical means

The centre has:
  • 13 hectares of land (including 5 hectares of cherry orchard, 6 hectares of vineyards, 1500m2 of greenhouses), all provided by the Louis Giraud Agricultural High School, the city of Carpentras and the Vaucluse administrative division. In addition, the Domaine Expérimental La Tapy can make use of plots throughout the region lent by growers for experimentation.
  • laboratory material that allows La Tapy to study physic-chemical characteristics of fruits and image analysis.
  • an atomizer on a vineyard lot that maintains a high level of humidity, favorizing the development of cryptogamic diseases and optimizing the study of their control.

Financial means

The Domaine Expérimental La Tapy is a non-profit organization. The financial resources of the centre depend primarily on grants from its financial partners. Additional resources come from study contracts and the sale of the centre's products.
